2012 GIFTTS Pineapple Award (2012)

Team members of the Montage Hotels & Resorts collection volunteered countless hours of time and service throughout 2011, setting an honorable example across all three areas of philanthropy, community, and environment. On behalf of the company's "Hearts of Montage" program, accomplishments ranged from the LEED certification of Montage Deer Valley (Park City, Utah) to the donation of thousands of volunteer hours, with initiatives including beach cleanups; team walks for worldwide causes; mentoring programs; clothing, toy, food, and blood drives; and others. For its environmentally-friendly efforts in 2011, Montage Laguna Beach was named a city winner in Conde Nast Traveler's 2012 "World Savers Awards".

B'nai B'rith International has selected Montage Hotels & Resorts founder and Chief Executive Officer Alan J. Fuerstman to receive the 2011 Distinguished Achievement Award.

Hearts of Montage Giving Card

Through this Hearts of Montage Giving Card ("Program"), Montage Laguna Beach will donate ten percent (10%) of the net charges (excluding all taxes, gratuities and service charges) incurred at Montage Laguna Beach collected from the cardholder for room fees, dining at the resort's restaurant outlets (including in-room dining), spa services and regularly-priced retail products toward one (1) of the following charitable organizations (each, a "Charity") selected by the cardholder at the time of payment:

Boys & Girls Club of Laguna Beach
The Ocean Institute
SchoolPower
Harvesters
Crystal Cove Alliance
Susi Q Senior Center
Laura's House
The Geffen Playhouse
Tinkerbell Guild
Beckstrand Cancer Foundation
Melanoma Research Alliance

The Program will commence on March 1, 2010 and will terminate on December 20, 2011. The [card] must be presented at the time of payment; failure to present the [card] will disqualify the guest’s purchase from the Program. Montage Laguna Beach will calculate and make the appropriate donations to each Charity on a quarterly basis. Montage Laguna Beach and it owners, operators and affiliates each reserves the right to discontinue, terminate or suspend the Program, and to modify, alter, supplement, add to or discontinue any or all of the terms and conditions of the Program at any time and from time to time, in its sole and absolute discretion. This Program does not apply to charges incurred at any other Montage resort/hotel property tax, gratuity, retail sale items, gift cards, rooms booked through a travel agent or third-party vendors/services. Please note there is a $5,000 donation limit per cardholder and per event for this program.
